Grapes: Merlot
Saleggi is produced with Merlot grapes that are grown in the vineyards located in Losone. It is a very typical Merlot wine, with a varietal character and with a strong aromatic structure.
The grapes are carefully selected from the vineyard, that is located along the Maggia river.
It is vinified with a complete destemming and a fermentation in inox tanks at a controlled temperature, and then refined in oak barrels from Alliers and from Nevers in France for 12 months.
The colour is ruby red with purple reflexes; the perfume is intense, vigorous, with scents of dried prunes. The taste is typical, full, persistent and vinous.
Great savoured with some traditional local goat meat baked in the oven, or with some lamb rack seasoned with fresh time.
